The Children’s Home Building Can No Longer Guarantee Children’s Safety

We are a non-profit charitable organization that receives no government funding. Our children’s home was built in 1982, and due to years of insufficient funds, it has not undergone major repairs in the last 20 years. The heating system, plumbing, wiring, and roof have all reached the end of their service life.

State regulatory bodies require the building to be brought up to current fire safety, construction, and sanitary standards before the children can return to their rooms. As a result, spaces that were once home to 50 children now stand empty out of necessity — waiting for the day we can give them back.

Who We Are

All of Kazakhstan knows our Mama — we keep her memory in our hearts and carry on her work. For 28 years now, the charitable family children’s home “Nur” has been giving warmth, care, and a family home to orphaned children and children left without parental care. Over these years, Mama Tuyak Kazkenovna raised and guided into adulthood more than 750 children. Today we continue her great mission: we provide our children with proper nutrition, clothing, and medical care, and most importantly, we give them a quality education and help them successfully adapt to society. Our children’s home exists solely thanks to the support of caring people.

The “Nur” family children’s home featured in the “Heroes with Kaspi” project. The story of Tuyak Kazkenovna Eskozhina, who devoted her life to saving and raising children.

1: Restoring the First Building for the Children — ₸13,000,000

Our building has 4 blocks, so we decided to carry out reconstruction in stages. We’re starting with the first block. Once it’s restored, we’ll move on to the next.

In the first stage, we need to carry out work that will make the first block safe and reduce critical heat loss:

• Bringing plumbing and wiring up to safety standards
• Facade insulation — eliminating critical heat loss
• Heating system repair
• Bedroom and bathroom repairs
• Covering utility bills and basic operating costs to keep the children’s home running

We openly show how every tenge entrusted to our children’s home is used.

After the advertising campaign is launched, the Non-Governmental Institution “NUR Charitable Family Children’s Home” undertakes to publish monthly in the Reports section an official Kaspi Bank JSC bank statement showing all incoming charitable donations, as well as a detailed report on how all donated funds were spent on the children’s needs.
