20 Years of “Nur”: A Journey Through 700 Lives
We have released a video retrospective tracing the history of our children’s home — from its early years in Talgar to the present day. Over the years, more than 700 children have passed through “Nur.”
The footage includes the celebration of the home’s 10th anniversary in 2008, children in traditional costumes performing on stage, graduates dressed for an evening celebration as they stood on the threshold of adulthood, and little ones for whom “Nur” became their first real home.
Every frame tells a story of a life changed by people who believed that even a life shattered by hardship can be rebuilt when there is a family by your side.
Today, we face a new challenge — to restore a safe home for the children after the building was declared unfit for habitation. But these more than 20 years of history are the best proof that together, we can achieve great things.
