On December 13, 2016, in the city of Taldykorgan, our mother was presented with the state award “Shapagat” by Akim of Almaty Region A.G. Batalov, on behalf of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, N.A. Nazarbayev.
The “Shapagat” Medal (Kazakh: Шапағат — Mercy, Compassion) is a state award of the Republic of Kazakhstan, established under the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On State Awards of the Republic of Kazakhstan” No. 2676 dated December 12, 1995.
On December 9, 2016, the public association “Aңсар – арманым”, as part of the festive concert “Еліме келіп елеулі болдым” held at the Palace of the Republic, awarded our mother the highest-degree “Kazakh Language” medal in the nomination “Елім деп соғар жүрегім” (“My heart beats for my country”).
On December 20, 2016, the “Kazakhstan Teachers” Foundation awarded her an Honorary Medal for Merits in Education.
